The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support a major mission-critical project, primarily based at the company’s headquarters with occasional European travel.

Reporting to the project management team, you will play a key role in the development, coordination and delivery of electrical design solutions from concept through to construction.

You will work closely with Project Managers, Design Teams and Clients to ensure electrical designs are technically robust, compliant and aligned with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients and project managers to review technical specifications and develop effective engineering solutions.
• Produce detailed electrical designs and technical drawings for containment systems, cable routing and associated infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot design challenges and develop practical engineering solutions.
• Extract measurements and design information from BIM models using Revit and Navisworks.
• Review BIM models to identify coordination issues and support efficient project delivery.
• Lead the development and review of electrical design scopes with internal teams and client stakeholders.
• Prepare technical documentation, including drawings, schedules, estimates and project submittals.
• Review technical data and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Manage technical submittals, equipment registers and approval trackers.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to support the timely approval of materials and equipment.
• Carry out design and installation quality reviews to maintain project standards.
• Support and mentor junior engineers, encouraging technical development and knowledge sharing.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in electrical design and coordination, ideally within data centres, industrial facilities or large-scale construction projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical containment systems, cable routing and BIM coordination.
• Proficiency with Revit, Navisworks and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work locally or on a rotational basis from elsewhere within the EU.
• Valid right to work and travel within the EU.
