Regional Critical Infrastructure Manager – Northeast
Position Overview
A leading provider of power and critical infrastructure solutions is looking to appoint an experienced Regional Critical Infrastructure Manager to oversee its Northeast operations. This is a broad leadership position combining commercial development, customer management, estimating, project execution and team leadership, with responsibility for regional revenue, growth and profitability.
The successful individual will be responsible for developing a strong regional team, expanding existing customer relationships, winning new business and ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule and in line with agreed commercial expectation
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Leadership
- Take ownership of regional revenue, sales and profitability performance across the Northeast.
Act as a senior point of contact for major customers and strategic accounts.
- Create and implement a regional business development strategy focused on both existing and new customers.
- Develop relationships with end users, consultants, engineers, contractors and key industry stakeholder
- Generate new opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking and established internal sales channel
- Maintain a strong presence in the market through customer meetings, site visits and relevant industry events
- Engage with customers and stakeholders early in the project lifecycle to help shape specifications and technical requirement
- Lead customer meetings, presentations and capability discussions to demonstrate the company's solutions and expertise.
Estimating, Bids & Pipeline Management
Review technical drawings, specifications, tender documentation and customer requirements to establish project scope and pricing
- Collaborate with engineering, suppliers and internal technical teams to validate equipment selections and technical solutions
- Prepare project budgets, forecasts and commercial information to support regional planning Manage the proposal process from initial opportunity through to final submission, ensuring scope, deadlines and margins are maintained.
- Keep CRM, pipeline, forecasting and opportunity data accurate and up to date
- Work with finance and legal stakeholders to assess contracts, commercial conditions and potential project exposure
- Ensure successful opportunities are thoroughly transferred to the project delivery team, including pricing, scope, drawings, schedules and customer expectations.
- Maintain close communication between commercial, project management and operations throughout the transition from award to execution.
Project & Operational Management
- Lead, coach and develop project managers and field-based installation teams
- Maintain accountability for safe, profitable and timely project execution
- Develop effective processes for transferring projects from the commercial team into delivery
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, project performance and delivery timescales.
- Conduct regular reviews of project KPIs, financial performance, resources, schedules and operational progress.
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure teams operate in accordance with company standards and procedure
- Partner with finance to monitor job costs, billing, forecasting and cost-to-complete positions
- Stay engaged with strategically important projects after award to maintain customer relationships and help resolve delivery issues
- Support the resolution of customer escalations and commercial disagreements while protecting both the relationship and the company's positions.
- Oversee and support the commercial management of change orders, variations and scope

Ideal Background
- 5+ years of relevant experience in business development, sales, account management, project management or a comparable commercial/operational role
- Experience within critical infrastructure, electrical construction, telecommunications, broadband, power systems or another technically driven industry
- Demonstrable experience leading project teams and delivering projects successfully and profitability.
- Strong ability to establish, develop and retain customer relationships while converting opportunities into revenue
- Experience with estimating, competitive tenders, specification analysis and proposal preparation.
- Working knowledge of AC/DC power systems, generators, batteries, rectifiers, inverters or associated power infrastructure
- Comfortable reading and interpreting electrical drawings, technical specifications and project documentation.
- Strong commercial, negotiation, presentation and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing customers, projects and opportunities simultaneously.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, CRM platforms and pipeline/forecasting too
- A Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management or a related discipline would be advantageous.
Particularly Relevant Experience
- Previous experience working within data centers, telecommunications/broadband, utilities or other mission-critical environment.
- Experience delivering technically complex retrofit projects or projects operating within short delivery windows
- Strong understanding of field operations, subcontractor management and project delivery teams.
- Familiarity with contracts, schedules of values, change management, project costing and commercial exposure.
- A combination of technical power expertise and strong commercial/customer-facing leadership.
