Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, including land acquisition, site feasibility, interconnection capacity, permitting, offtake strategies, and preliminary economic analysis.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with landowners, utilities, regulators, and other key stakeholders.
Project Development
Lead development activities for large-scale renewable energy and energy storage projects, including detailed due diligence (legal, technical, environmental), site studies, surveys, and permitting.
Oversee interconnection and offtake strategy development.
Stakeholder Management
Coordinate and communicate effectively across internal teams (engineering, project management, finance, legal, environmental) and external consultants.
Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities, utilities, and local communities.
Project Oversight
Manage project deliverables, budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies throughout the development lifecycle.
Ensure all project activities align with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
8–12 years of experience in business and project development for large-scale renewable energy or energy storage projects.
Demonstrated experience in competitive electricity markets or regional energy systems.
Previous exposure to project finance structures and negotiations.
Proven track record in identifying new business opportunities, managing site acquisition, permitting, environmental studies, interconnection applications, and offtake strategies.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and prioritize effectively.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, business, economics, law, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
Self-starter mindset, entrepreneurial spirit, and excellent communication skills.
