Business Development Manager

Key Responsibilities


  • Business Development
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, including land acquisition, site feasibility, interconnection capacity, permitting, offtake strategies, and preliminary economic analysis.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with landowners, utilities, regulators, and other key stakeholders.


  • Project Development
  • Lead development activities for large-scale renewable energy and energy storage projects, including detailed due diligence (legal, technical, environmental), site studies, surveys, and permitting.
  • Oversee interconnection and offtake strategy development.


  • Stakeholder Management
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively across internal teams (engineering, project management, finance, legal, environmental) and external consultants.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities, utilities, and local communities.


  • Project Oversight
  • Manage project deliverables, budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Ensure all project activities align with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.


  • Requirements
  • 8–12 years of experience in business and project development for large-scale renewable energy or energy storage projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in competitive electricity markets or regional energy systems.
  • Previous exposure to project finance structures and negotiations.
  • Proven track record in identifying new business opportunities, managing site acquisition, permitting, environmental studies, interconnection applications, and offtake strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and prioritize effectively.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, business, economics, law, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
  • Self-starter mindset, entrepreneurial spirit, and excellent communication skills.
