Business Development Associate
Market Expansion:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the EV infrastructure market, focusing on expanding the company’s presence in key regions. Develop and implement strategic market entry plans that align with company goals and objectives.
Client Acquisition & Sales:
Actively hunt for and acquire new clients, leveraging industry knowledge and networks to identify and approach potential customers. Conduct needs assessments and tailor sales pitches to meet the specific requirements of prospective clients.
Lead the sales process from prospecting to closing, ensuring all customer needs are met and exceeded.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and loyalty. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns and providing solutions to enhance the customer experience. Nurture relationships with existing clients to identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional services.
Strategic Market Analysis:
Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats within the EV infrastructure sector.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on market conditions, customer needs, and competitive positioning. Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of market development strategies, adjusting tactics as needed.
Collaboration & Teamwork:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, engineering, and operations, to ensure that client needs are effectively communicated and addressed. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional materials, sales tools, and campaigns that support market development efforts.
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, client interactions, and market research findings using CRM software.
Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities in market development efforts. Ensure all contracts, agreements, and sales documentation are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Experience:
5-10 years of experience in market development, business development, or sales within the EV infrastructure, renewable energy, or a related industry. Proven success in client acquisition, relationship management, and sales, with a strong focus on hunting for new business opportunities.
Industry Knowledge:
Deep understanding of the EV infrastructure market, including knowledge of EV charging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory environments.
Ability to stay informed about the latest developments in the EV sector and adapt strategies accordingly.
Sales Skills:
Strong consultative selling skills with a track record of closing high-value deals. Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to effectively manage the sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
Relationship Building:
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders. Experience in account management and ensuring client satisfaction over the long term.
Strategic Thinking:
Ability to analyze market conditions and develop strategic plans to drive business growth.
Experience in market research and the ability to translate findings into actionable business strategies.
Communication & Presentation:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical information to a non-technical audience. Strong presentation skills, capable of developing and delivering compelling pitches and proposals.
Self-Motivation & Independence:
Highly motivated and able to work independently, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing market dynamics.
Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficiency in CRM software and other tools for managing sales processes and client relationships. Comfort with data analysis and using reporting tools to inform market development strategies
