Pre-Sales Applications Engineer – PV & Energy Storage

The Applications Engineer bridges engineering, sales, and customer success by providing key technical support throughout the sales process. This role involves educating customers on product capabilities, supporting system design, guiding deployment, and advising on installation best practices. Responsibilities include delivering presentations, conducting technical training, system modeling, and analyzing performance data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a technical expert in customer meetings and calls.
• Analyze project requirements and recommend optimal system configurations.
• Develop single-line diagrams and model systems using tools like PVsyst.
• Explain DC vs.

  AC coupled PV+storage systems and their trade-offs.

• Review and advise on system designs to ensure alignment with best practices.
• Deliver hands-on training for product design, installation, and maintenance.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and training materials.
• Represent the company at industry events and workshops.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience (3–5 years).
• 3–5 years in PV/energy storage and system modeling/design.
• Strong understanding of PV and storage topologies, inverters, and design practices.
• Skilled in customer engagement, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with PVsyst or similar tools preferred.
• Knowledge of NEC/IEC codes and basic IT/networking.
