Position: Central Regional Sales Manager
Reports to: CEO
Location: Remote – Candidate must reside within driving distance of a major Central U.S. market such as Chicago, Dallas, Houston, or Denver.
Overview
An established leader in architectural and specification-grade lighting is seeking a driven, strategic, and results-focused Regional Sales Manager to lead business development across the Central U.S. This role will focus on growing market presence through strong agency relationships, territory planning, and execution of sales strategies that align with corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement territory sales plans to achieve defined sales goals through a strong agency network.
- Travel within the region up to 55% to provide effective market coverage and agency support.
- Conduct joint sales calls, provide agency training, follow up on project quotes, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service.
- Set and track annual goals and performance targets with agency partners.
- Identify, onboard, and support new agency relationships where appropriate.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal sales support, customer service, product development, and operations to manage the full sales cycle.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and agency-led functions.
- Report on competitive activity, market trends, and key developments.
- Manage all administrative tasks including reporting, expenses, and CRM entries.
- Deliver impactful presentations using tools like PowerPoint; Salesforce experience is a plus.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the lighting industry across sales, specification, agency, architecture, or showroom channels.
- At least 3 years in a regional or territory sales management capacity.
- Proven ability to grow revenue and build long-lasting agency relationships.
- Strong organizational, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Solid understanding of LED technology and lighting systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and CRM tools.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand or sit for extended periods.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Must be open to frequent travel.
