Overview
We are looking for a high-energy, results-driven Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to lead sales efforts and expand our market presence in New York City and the Tri-State area. This role will focus on building strong relationships with lighting reps, specifiers, architects, designers, and distributors to drive revenue growth and increase brand adoption. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the NYC specification market, a proven track record of winning major projects, and the ability to navigate complex sales channels.
Key Responsibilities
Territory Growth & Market Development
- Drive sales growth by developing and executing strategic plans for the NYC region.
- Build and maintain relationships with lighting agencies, architects, lighting designers, and key decision-makers.
- Increase brand visibility and specification adoption across high-profile commercial and residential projects.
Sales Leadership & Account Management
- Manage and support independent rep agencies to maximize sales performance.
- Conduct in-depth product training, presentations, and market education sessions for clients and partners.
- Drive project specifications from initial concept through to completion.
Business Development & Competitive Strategy
- Identify new opportunities in the NYC market, including large-scale developments and high-end architectural projects.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to refine sales strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and product development, to align on growth initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience

5+ years of sales experience in architectural/specification lighting.
- Strong relationships with NYC-based lighting reps, specifiers, and distributors.
- Proven ability to win and manage high-profile projects in commercial, hospitality, and residential markets.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
